
The main goal of Dark Illuminations is to run enjoyable, atmospheric, plot saturated live role-playing events. DI provides games where total character submergence is encouraged and where emphasis is placed on the spirit of a game and a not a preoccupation with system.
The major plot for each 
    event is written before the game is advertised. 
    You are then free to book and request any character that would be realistic 
    within the constraints of the time and genre in which the game is set.

There are no strict predetermined 
    character classes although you are not allowed to play types that would be 
    in direct conflict with the atmosphere of the event.
    Attendees are free to 
    use their imaginations to put forward character types that they wish to play 
    and are encouraged to write full backgrounds, personalities and even their 
    own plot. As bookings are received the plot then is tailored to better suit 
    the individual characters. 
Allowing for time constraints, further plot will also be written based on ideas suggested. Finally Players and NPCs are inter-linked via event and player plot into a fabric of intrigue and paranoia.
