The year is 2304. The world as we know it now no longer exists, everything we now take for granted is gone. The Earth was decimated in the apocalypse of 2015. With the majority of worlds population wiped out, civilisation has effectively ended.

All forms of industry ground to a halt, energy production ceased, food and medical supplies dried up. Water purification was impossible and with the sheer numbers of dead, plague and disease spread like wild fire. Animals reverted to a feral state and preyed on the dying. The few humans that survived fought amongst themselves for the remaining supplies.

Transportation and communication over long distances became a thing of the past. In the end the only survivors were those strong enough to survive illness and starvation and cunning enough to outwit their competitors for resources. The few remaining humans found strength in numbers and banded together as loose tribes. As time went on each developed its own traits making it distinctive from the others. These gangs often fight over territory and supplies but once a year they meet under a flag of truce to barter for goods and information.
